Stimulus vote on Thursday?

Well it looks like there could be a vote on a stimulus package as soon as tomorrow. If you are reading this you need to flood your states Senators phones, email, faxes & offices with your disgust for this bill. It needs to be stopped! It is not to late to sign our petition at www.wewantavote.org. This is your last chance to make your voice heard because you, your children & grandchildren are going to pay for this.

The Obama Pitch

So Obama used his scare tactics tonight and I would ask, did they work? I would sure hope not. Did anyone else notice how long winded this guy is? And what is with the A-Rod question? We are in the middle of an economic crisis and a reporter asked about A-Rod. Is it a crisis? Yes. Should it be as gloom and doom as Obama makes it out to be? No.

I found it funny that Obama mentioned Japan in the 90's because they did the same thing he wants to do and it failed miserably. Here is what needs to happen, we need to stand up and tell anyone that votes yes to this we will not vote for them. We need to call our representatives repeatedly and tell them vote no! If you have already done that then march on your local capital and tell anyone who will listen that we are not going to take it!

The bill is getting close

It is not too late to stop the Obama stimulus package! Even though Republicans are starting to fall in line the fight is not done. They are doing this on the weekend to try to stop us having a say! You can still email them and if we have to march on our state capitals by Monday then that is what needs to happen! Please spread the word to stop this.

Big City Mayors Licking Their Chops

Nancy Pelosi is not the only salivating at the thought of the stimulus plan passing. Mayors in big cities are also hopeful the the pork filled stimulus plan will pass. The have several pet projects in mind if they get the money. If the stimulus passes here is where some of that money will be spent...

• Las Vegas wants 2 million for neon signs
• A city in Texas wants $900,000 for a Frisbee golf course
• Los Angeles wants $6 million for aquatic centers (a.k.a. pools)
• Another city in California wants $500,000 for a dog park

That is only a few examples of how your hard earned money is going to be wasted. For the love of God a Frisbee golf course, are you kidding me?! If you want to help stop this pork filled stimulus package go to www.wewantavote.org and sign our petition.

The Obama Plan up to $900 Billion

What is so strange about the Obama Stimulus plan is even though they have cut pork from the plan it still grows. Just when one item is cut like contraceptive relief for the the latex industry you have some other BS item added. If you live in reality this whole thing was already being planned before Obama even took office. Pelosi has been building this thing for years. Money for "green" cars, the rubber plan and the list goes on and on. The only good thing for her is that the economy went bad and she was able to disguise it as a stimulus plan.

Here is the bottom line, the plan needs to be stopped! If you are reading this then you must have a brain so go to www.wewantavote.org and sign our petition. Once we have a fair amount of signatures we will submit it to every Senator and tell them we do not want it. I will list every Senator that votes for it and make sure they do not get re-elected. Stimulus Waste

What a surprise the House of Representatives approved an $819 billion economic stimulus package Wednesday, giving the Obama administration a legislative victory but also giving Republicans a chance to show how they can stick together. The final vote was 244-188, mostly along party lines. All Republicans who were present voted against the bill. They were joined in their opposition by 11 Democrats.

Here are just a few bullet points that illustrate what Democrats consider economic stimulus items...

• $400 million to global warming research (This only stimulates Al Gore)
• $2.4 billion, with a b, to carbon capture projects (If you want to know what this is go to the following link http://www.nma.org/ccs/carboncapture.asp, but I will tell you it is BS)
• $650 million for digital TV conversion (Television is a want not a need and I don't want to pay for some slack jawed yokels ability to convert his rabbit ears)
• $150 million for the Smithsonian (Throw a fundraiser)
• $1 billion for Amtrak (didn't even know it still was used what a waste)

Don't forget the welfare part of the bill giving money to such things as food stamps, child care etc. I am not saying I oppose welfare type items, but one thing is for sure they do not stimulate growth. I also want you to know that some of this is going to be permanent spending when it is written into law.

This bill is going to supposedly create 4 million jobs and if you do the math it is about $290,000 per job. Is that worth it? How about this plan proposed by some House Republicans...

Take the two lowest tax brackets and cut them each by 5%. The 15% bracket would be cut to 10% and the 10% bracket would be cut to 5%. People would actually see this money on their next paycheck and I guarantee they will spend it. That number would be huge and it would have an immediate effect.

The whole point of this posting is to help the uninformed who think this plan is going to save them, it will not and it will put the country and our kids and grand kids further in debt. Please go to www.wewantavote.org and sign our petition to stop the stimulus package.
